Modern home with the charm of a classic craftsman style bungalow

This three bedroom one bath house remained vacant for 10 years with little to no attention given to the maintenance and upkeep of the home or yard.  The home had deteriorated substantially and was home to wasps, squirrels and raccoons.  Our goal was to bring the house back to its original craftsman style while creating a modern, open concept living area for a new gratin of families to enjoy.  The home had no back door to the spacious back yard.   We began by creating a hallway that connect the main living areas to the backyard.  A master bath and closets were added on the back of the house, and the walls that separated the kitchen an dining and living room were elimated.  The kitchen layout was reconfigured and sup dated with custom cabinets and a counter height island.  The front porch was uncovered and brought back to its original craftsman style.  The front porch now offers a perfect gathering place ffor family and gave this house a new lease on life.  The home now fits with the architecture found on the rest of street.  We were able to provide a modern home with the charm of a classic craftsman style bungalow.
